A Portland man already accused of killing a 14-year-old boy is now facing a series of additional serious charges tied to a separate violent incident in Southeast Portland.
Authorities say Aquize Gerrian Tyquan Logan, 25, has been indicted on multiple counts, including first-degree rape, kidnapping, attempted murder, sexual abuse, assault, burglary, strangulation, and unlawful use of a weapon.
Details of February Attack
According to court documents, the charges stem from an alleged Feb. 27 attack in the Richmond neighborhood of Portland. Prosecutors claim Logan kidnapped a woman, assaulted her, and attempted to kill her during the incident.
The case ultimately led to his arrest on the same day.
Connection to Teen’s Killing
Logan had already been wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of 14-year-old Marik Roscoe, who was killed inside a Southeast Portland home on Nov. 16.
Police said the shooting left multiple victims:
- A 17-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man were injured by gunfire
- A 19-year-old suffered injuries after allegedly being pistol-whipped
Prosecutors have charged Logan in that case with first-degree murder, attempted murder, assault, burglary, and weapons offenses.
Prior Criminal Record
Court records show Logan was previously convicted in 2023 of first-degree rape and strangulation, adding to the severity of the current allegations.
Ongoing Legal Proceedings
The latest indictment significantly expands the scope of the case, combining violent crime allegations across multiple incidents. Authorities have not yet released further details about upcoming court proceedings.
