On This Post

A 20-year-old man injured in a weekend shooting in Vancouver is not expected to survive, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 2:20 a.m. Saturday at a parking lot in the 11800 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where his condition has since worsened. Authorities have not released his identity.

Police said the suspect fled the scene before officers arrived. A search of the surrounding neighborhood, including the use of a K-9 unit, did not lead to any arrests.

The Vancouver Police Department’s Major Crimes Team is continuing to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department’s tip line.
