Caregiver Accused of Stealing Thousands from Elderly Clients Faces Multiple Charges in Oregon

On This Post

A 23-year-old caregiver from Lake Oswego is facing multiple criminal charges after prosecutors say she financially exploited several elderly clients in the Portland area.

According to authorities, Willow McCullough was indicted by a grand jury on April 8 on charges including aggravated identity theft, fraudulent use of a credit card and theft. Investigators allege she used her position as a trusted caregiver to access sensitive financial information belonging to vulnerable seniors.

Police say McCullough obtained credit card details and personal documents from her clients and made unauthorized purchases. In one case, she is accused of stealing more than $10,000 from a victim over the age of 65.

McCullough has pleaded not guilty to all 16 initial charges filed against her.

She was arrested on April 14 and booked into the Washington County Jail. Prosecutors have since filed a second case, adding six more charges related to identity theft, fraud and theft.

Authorities believe additional victims may exist and are urging anyone who suspects they were affected to reach out to the Beaverton Police Department.

The investigation remains ongoing as officials continue to assess the full scope of the alleged crimes.
