20-Year-Old Tacoma Man Identified as Victim in Vancouver Parking Lot Shooting

Authorities have identified the young man who died following a weekend shooting in Vancouver as Guerlin P. Caetano, a 20-year-old resident of Tacoma.

Shooting Details

According to the Vancouver Police Department, officers responded around 2:20 a.m. Saturday to a parking lot in the 11800 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard. Upon arrival, they found Caetano suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived.

Victim Succumbs to Injuries

Caetano was transported for medical treatment but later died on Sunday due to complications from his injuries, officials with the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed.

Investigation Ongoing

Police conducted a search of the surrounding area with assistance from a K-9 unit, but no arrests have been made so far.

The department’s Major Crimes Team continues to investigate the case. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation.

The incident remains under active review as detectives work to identify the suspect and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
