A fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision early Monday morning is under investigation in Corvallis, after a local resident was struck and killed by a car.
Incident Details
According to the Corvallis Police Department, officers were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. on April 27. The crash occurred along SE 3rd Street near SE Chapman Place.
Authorities say a 55-year-old Corvallis resident was hit by a northbound vehicle. The individual died at the scene.
Road Closure and Investigation
Following the incident, the roadway was shut down for several hours while investigators examined the crash site. Officials indicated that the road is expected to reopen shortly.
Police have not released additional information about the circumstances of the collision as the investigation remains ongoing.
