Shots Fired in Wooded Area Near Park
Police are investigating reports of gunfire in a wooded area near Arrowhead Park, according to the Eugene Police Department.
Officers responded shortly after 5 p.m. on April 25 following reports of a man firing a gun west of the park.
Driver Initially Stopped, Later Released
Authorities conducted a high-risk traffic stop on a truck in the area. The driver was taken into custody without incident and cooperated fully with officers.
After further investigation, police determined the individual had not fired any shots but had instead been the target of gunfire. He was later released.
No Victims Found as Investigation Continues
Despite reports of shots fired, officers did not locate any victims at the scene. Police have not released information about a suspect or motive.
The case remains under investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the incident.
