Six Northgate High School students were involved in a rollover accident Thursday morning in Coweta County, according to school authorities.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 11:15 a.m. in the 300 block of Vaughn Road. Officials stated that emergency personnel arrived immediately and offered medical attention to the students on the scene.
At least two students were flown to nearby hospitals. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
Authorities closed the road while they examined the crash. Aerial footage from the incident showed a highly damaged sedan being towed and a nearby power pole that appeared to have been struck. The authorities also observed skid marks leading up to the pole.
Officials said the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office will provide more details about the collision as the investigation progresses.
