A Vancouver man who investigators say was a foster parent to 55 children between 2013 and 2015 has been arrested and charged with child sex abuse.

Darold A. Slack was booked into the Clark County Jail on multiple allegations, including child molestation, child rape, assault, and sexual misconduct with a minor, according to a Vancouver police news release issued Thursday.

The investigation began on April 26 when detectives from the Vancouver Police Department Children’s Justice Center began looking into a claim of a child’s sexual assault, according to officials.

Police conducted a search of Slack’s residence on Friday.

Police suspect there may be more victims. Anyone with information about potential child abuse by Slack should contact Vancouver Police Department Children’s Justice Center Detective Cpl. Gunnar Skollingsberg at [email protected].
