The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two individuals after a months-long investigation into the theft of multiple off-road vehicles from a Baytown business.
On January 25, 2026, deputies responded to an alert at Gene’s Polaris on the 12000 block of Interstate 10, where they discovered three off-road vehicles had been stolen. The vehicles were worth more than $70,000 altogether.
The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division conducted a thorough investigation, conducting surveillance, examining evidence, and interviewing those involved in the case.
Estevan Cruz of Baytown and Daniel Stanley Aguirre Urbina of Houston have been served with arrest warrants for felony theft, according to authorities.
On May 4, deputies located both suspects during surveillance operations and arrested them without incident. Both were booked into Chambers County Jail.
Investigators also discovered that Urbina is unlawfully present in the United States.
“This case is a good example of what can happen when deputies stay proactive and keep working a case long after the initial call,” Brian Hawthorne said.
The investigation is underway.
