The Massachusetts State Lottery reported that a trust from Reading, Massachusetts, won the $10 million grand prize after purchasing a lottery ticket at a supermarket’s self-service announced.
Rock Solid Trust, represented by trustee Joshua Garick, selected the cash option and received a one-time payment of $6.5 million before taxes.
The lottery ticket was purchased from a self-service terminal at a Stop & Shop in Dorchester. The supermarket, situated at 545 Freeport St., will earn a $50,000 bonus for selling tickets, according to lottery authorities.
Garick informed lottery officials that the winner intends to use the prize money to invest and provide for their family.
According to the lottery, there is one more prize in circulation from the “$10,000,000 Instant Millions” game.
