A 22-year-old Boise man guilty of sexual abuse and strangling in two separate cases was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of release on Tuesday morning.

District Judge Cynthia Yee-Wallace sentenced Isaiah Williams on May 12, 2026, after jurors found him guilty of several offenses last fall, including lewd and lascivious conduct, sexual abuse of a kid under the age of 16, aggravated assault, evidence destruction, and witness intimidation.

“You are the type of person that every parent fears when they send their children off to college,” Yee-Wallace told Williams. “Very few people who come before me truly engage in predatory behavior, and you are one of them.”

In one example from 2022, Williams sexually molested a 15-year-old girl after enticing her to his Boise State University dorm, giving drinks, and isolating her in his room. When a friend tried to intervene, Williams physically took her from the room and locked the door, according to court documents.

In a different case from 2024, Williams strangled a 17-year-old girl inside his apartment, stole her phone to prevent her from contacting 911, and told her that if she reported the assault, no one would believe her because he was a cop. That allegation was bogus. According to the prosecutor’s office, detectives later discovered video from Williams’ phone that confirmed the strangulation.

Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts described the actions as “predatory and deliberate.”

“What this defendant did was predatory and deliberate,” Bennetts stated. “He deliberately selected his victims: a youngster and a young woman who were targeted, assaulted, and persuaded no one would believe them. The jury believed them, and this sentence reflects both that and the gravity of his actions.”

Williams is due to be sentenced on June 5 for further criminal offenses in a different case involving several victims.
