A Jacksonville man who was advised to stay away from a local Wawa in the morning was arrested for trespassing when he returned later that day.

A deputy responded to a trespass complaint at Wawa on U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake around 12:55 p.m. Monday, according to an arrest record from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. When he arrived, he discovered 60-year-old David Jim Browning seated on the ground near the north-most fuel pump.

The deputy was aware that he had already been trespassed from that location because he had responded to the original incident at 4:53 that morning. According to the report, he reportedly had a lengthy criminal record and had committed multiple crimes.

Browning was arrested for trespassing and lodged at the Sumter County Detention Center. The bond was set at $1,000, and Indiana had placed a hold on him.
