Maricopa County prosecutors say two men have been indicted in connection with a shooting that left a teen girl and two babies dead.

According to a May 29 statement, a grand jury indicted 18-year-old Michael Sanchez on three counts of first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of tampering with monitoring equipment. All the charges are felonies.

Furthermore, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office announced that 19-year-old Antonio Tequida had been indicted on a charge of impeding prosecution. Prosecutors claim that Tequida drove Sanchez away from the site after the shooting. Tequida is also accused of assisting Sanchez in hiding.

According to our previous investigation, Sanchez was arrested on May 14 after shooting a 16-year-old pregnant teen in Buckeye. Family members identified the 16-year-old as Rylee Montgomery. Sanchez was Montgomery’s ex-boyfriend.

We previously revealed that the other newborn victim in the case died after being delivered at only 25 weeks gestation.

Sanchez is being held without bond, according to MCAO officials, while Tequida is required to post a $100,000 cash-only bond.
