A 25-year-old Mexican national was apprehended in El Paso after allegedly running a stash house and harboring three migrants, according to a social media post by the U.S. Border Patrol Chief Rosario Vasquez.
The stash house allegedly had one adult migrant and two unaccompanied minors. The 25-year-old admitted to sheltering at least five migrants per week at the home and earning approximately $18,000 in three months.
“What seemed like easy money ended in federal custody, facing alien smuggling charges,” Vasquez wrote on social media.
Vasquez said the three individuals would be processed and deported from the United States.
