A man was killed, and a man and a woman were injured in a triple shooting that was reported in West Baltimore Wednesday night, according to city police.

Officers responded to the 1800 block of North Payson Street in the Easterwood community for a ShotSpotter alarm at 10:12 p.m.

On the site, authorities discovered a 20-year-old woman and two 22-year-old men with gunshot wounds. They were taken to hospitals, where one of the men was pronounced dead, authorities added.

The woman is in stable condition, while the other 22-year-old man is in critical condition, authorities reported Thursday morning.

Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact police at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

The new shooting increased the city’s non-fatal shooting count, which has surpassed the number of non-fatal shootings reported this time last year. Baltimore police reported 138 non-fatal gunshots this year, an increase from 130 at the same time last year.

So far this year, 44 homicides have been reported, compared to 56 at this time last year, data show.

In May, the mayor’s office said that there were eight homicides in the city, the first time in five decades that there were fewer than ten homicides. In April, the city had four homicides, its lowest monthly total since 1970.
