A Summerfield man was taken into custody after being stopped without a license.
A deputy saw a blue 2010 Ford Focus at the intersection of County Roads 229 and 228 in Wildwood at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. An examination of the tag revealed that the driver, 44-year-old Maximo Serrano, did not possess a driver’s license.
Serrano admitted to driving without a license after being pulled over. According to the allegation, he was then requested to come out of the vehicle so he could be arrested.
The Sumter County Detention Center booked the New York native on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked license. He was released after paying a $500 bond.
