Several people were taken into custody following an alleged violent incident with police inside a Boston restaurant on Monday.
On Monday at 5:44 p.m., an MBTA transit officer was called to Estella’s Restaurant on Temple Place for an incident.
According to MBTA Transit Police Chief Richard Sullivan, the transit officer allegedly watched one person kick another in the head and promptly interfered.
Several other people allegedly ganged up on the first officer, leading additional transit policemen and Boston police officers to intervene.
According to Boston police, two people were arrested in connection with the initial incident, and three more were arrested after more fights broke out in the area surrounding the restaurant.
