A homeless woman was detained for pestering customers for money at Wawa.
According to an arrest complaint from the Lady Lake Police Department, Marcia Taylor, 57, was asking for money and sleeping on a bench at the Wawa on U.S. Highway 27/441 and County Road 466 at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Management had requested the Mississippi native to leave the premises, but she refused.
Officers arrived and requested Taylor to leave, but she refused.
Taylor was arrested on the accusation of trespassing. She was placed into the Lake County Jail and eventually released on her recognizance.
