Emergency crews rescued a construction worker in Harlem on Wednesday morning after he fell into a hole.
The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. at an MTA construction site near Second Avenue and East 108th Street.
The FDNY said the worker was leaning on a two-by-four, which either broke or slipped.
He fell 8 feet down the hole, according to the MTA.
Crews removed the worker and transported him to a nearby hospital.
A large emergency response was around the area. The MTA is doing a routine safety “stand down” as a result.
