A woman reported missing from Spring Hill earlier this month was discovered dead a day later in another state.
According to the Spring Hill Police Department, Amber Graham, 37, and her 8-year-old daughter were reported missing by their family on July 2. Amber, according to her relatives, claimed to be going to Cleveland, Ohio, to “meet a friend.”
Graham had previously visited Ohio on June 14, according to the family. Spring Hill police confirmed that she returned from that trip on June 20, but she had left again with her daughter.
On July 3, one day after she was reported missing, Cleveland Police in Ohio told Spring Hill PD that Graham had been discovered dead.
According to Cleveland 19 News, authorities attended to a welfare check in the 3400 block of Bosworth Road on the city’s West Side and discovered her death in a home’s backyard.
Cleveland Police located Graham’s 8-year-old daughter and placed her in the custody of Ohio’s Department of Children and Youth.
Spring Hill Police acknowledged that they are cooperating with Cleveland Police on the death investigation.
