A Chicago-area man is celebrating an extraordinary case of déjà vu after winning the same Illinois Lottery game for the second time in 15 years, this time for the $1.3 million jackpot.

According to the Illinois Lottery, the anonymous winner purchased a Lucky Day Lotto ticket while visiting the Oswego BP gas station. The Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers chosen at the June 11th evening drawing: 1, 13, 19, 27, and 35. It got him the top reward of $1.3 million.

The winner stated that purchasing the ticket was a spur-of-the-moment decision.

“I just stopped by the store for a drink and thought, ‘Why not?'” he stated, according to an Illinois Lottery press release.

He was initially skeptical about what he was seeing.

“Ididn’t believe it at first. I asked myself, ‘Am I dreaming?’” he said. “Once I scanned the ticket and realized the numbers matched, reality set in.” [patch]

Surprisingly, this wasn’t his first large victory in the lotto game.

He won $45,000 approximately 15 years ago, when Lucky Day Lotto was known as Little Lotto.

The married winner stated that the windfall will assist him and his wife in buying a new home while also giving financial security as they plan for retirement. He stated that they are grateful for the unexpected windfall and hope that their children will appreciate the family’s good fortune as well.

The Oswego BP will earn a $13,000 bonus, which is 1% of the jackpot. All because they sold a lotto winning ticket!
