Arizona authorities find 37 pounds of meth during I-40 semi truck traffic stop

The Apache County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) reported that a large quantity of methamphetamine was discovered during a commercial vehicle traffic stop in Arizona last month.

On June 14, 2026, a Sergeant from the Apache County Special Crimes Enforcement Team conducted a traffic check on a semi truck traveling on I-40.

While engaging with the truck driver, “several factors of criminal activity were observed,” according to ACSO.

A probable cause search was conducted, resulting in the finding of 37 pounds of methamphetamine in the semi truck.

According to the Apache County Sheriff’s Office, one suspect was apprehended and booked into the jail.
