Two teachers are apprehended after getting into a fight at school.
According to authorities, on July 17, Odiria Biggins and Terrod Torrence had a verbal altercation that turned physical inside a classroom at SEED School of Miami.
According to investigators, both had previously been in a romantic relationship.
According to detectives, Torrence hit Biggins many times on the left side of her face and into the wall, causing her to fall to the ground and lose consciousness.
When Biggins regained consciousness, she rushed to her car, acquired pepper spray, found Torrence, and purposefully sprayed him, according to officials.
According to police, surveillance video shows Biggins entering the classroom while the victim is inside.
Torrence was seen struggling to walk and clearly suffering from eye irritation as they both exited the room shortly after.
Before being taken to a hospital for treatment, he received assistance from school personnel.
According to the report, Biggins informed investigators that Torrence had left her a note asking to meet before the physical altercation occurred.
Biggins was detained Monday at Carrie P. Meek K-8 Center and taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
She is charged with discharging a weapon on school property after reportedly employing pepper spray on school grounds, as well as misdemeanor domestic violence battery.
The judge found probable cause and issued a $2,000 bond.
Torrance was arrested on Tuesday afternoon. He was charged with domestic violence and is scheduled to appear in bond court on Wednesday.
