A Houston resident is feeling fine despite the record heat and issues in the tropics after winning $1 million in a Texas Lottery scratch ticket game.
According to the Texas Lottery, the unnamed player played the Queen of Spades scratch game and purchased the ticket at Mr. Express, located at the crossroads of the Eastex Freeway and Will Clayton Parkway in Humble.
The store’s owner is now eligible for a $10,000 prize through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Prize Program.
It is the second of four top prizes worth $1 million to be won in this game, which has a total prize pool of over $91.6 million, the lottery said.
The overall odds of winning the Queen of Spades game are 1 in 3.88, which includes break-even prizes.
