A 19-year-old man wanted in Arizona for suspected sexual extortion has been apprehended in Pennsylvania as a result of a collaborative federal and local law enforcement investigation.
Jayden Lewandowski was apprehended by the US Marshals Service Philadelphia fugitive task force and the Bensalem Police Department on an outstanding warrant out of Chandler.
Lewandowski faces five charges of sexual extortion.
On Tuesday, authorities apprehended Lewandowski on Bellview Drive in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, which is just northeast of Philadelphia.
Chandler Police Department detectives believe that Lewandowski sent sexually explicit photographs to victims “with the intent to humiliate and extort” them.
Lewandowski is currently in Pennsylvania, awaiting extradition to Maricopa County to face criminal accusations.
It’s unknown how Lewandowski received the obscene images, how many people were targeted in the scam, or when he’ll be extradited to Arizona to face charges. Chandler Police said no other information is available at this time.
