Toledo Police officers have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend.
On August 2, police detained Victor Davis, 41, of Toledo, in connection with the death of Devan Calbert, 32.
Officers were dispatched to 2620 Airport Highway in Toledo shortly before 2 a.m. on August 1.
Calbert was declared dead at the scene after receiving at least one gunshot wound to the abdomen.
According to charging documents, Davis shot and killed Calbert in the parking lot of The Recovery Room, a pub located in the 2600 block of Airport Highway. A possible motivation was not disclosed.
According to police affidavits, Davis was also charged with robbery on August 1.
Detectives claim Davis and another individual hit a victim numerous times, causing obvious injuries. During the assault, he also allegedly stole the victim’s chain and wallet from his pocket.
It is uncertain if Calbert was the robbery victim.
Davis’ bail was set at $1.1 million. The preliminary hearing is slated for August 11.
