Local father apprehended after police said he broke into apartment where child was staying

A local father is facing felony charges after allegedly breaking into an apartment where his child was residing.

According to court records, Anthony Carter, 32, broke into an apartment on East North Street in Reading on Saturday. Carter allegedly kicked open the bedroom door where his daughter was asleep.

When confronted by the woman who resides in the flat and instructed to stop, he reportedly fled.

Carter is currently in the Hamilton County Jail on accusations of burglary, domestic assault, and obstructing official business.
