A multi-agency law enforcement operation in Cleveland on Wednesday resulted in a dozen felony arrests, nine unlawful gun seizures, and the recovery of three stolen vehicles, according to Gov. Mike DeWine’s office.
The Cleveland Division of Police, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Ohio Investigative Unit worked together to pursue repeat violent criminals.
In one case, officers attempted to halt a stolen vehicle at Broadway Avenue and Trumbull Avenue. The suspects, Raj’on Foster, 18, and Camaron Brown, 20, fled before the OSHP Aviation Unit pursued them from the air, according to police. They were apprehended after stopping in a residential neighborhood and fleeing the vehicle, officials said.
According to the governor’s proclamation, Foster and Brown were found in possession of two stolen firearms, one of which had been unlawfully converted to be fully automatic. Both are charged with receiving stolen property, failing to comply, and improperly handling a handgun in a motor vehicle.
Court records as of Thursday afternoon showed that neither suspect had a counsel.
According to police, Ohio Investigative Unit agents made six felony arrests and recovered six illegal firearms, including an incident in which two adolescents were detained for trespassing in a community facility while in possession of an illegal handgun and an AR-style pistol.
The 12 people arrested are charged with firearms violations, narcotics possession, tampering with evidence, and obstructing government business.
Since the beginning of 2026, such operations have resulted in over 410 criminal arrests and over 160 unlawful firearm seizures statewide, according to the governor’s office.
