A stop to the grocery store for coffee creamer resulted in a financial bonanza for a Stark County man.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the man from Hartville visited the Giant Eagle on E. Main Street in Ravenna and played a few lottery games, including Lucky 10.
According to a media release, the man scanned his Lucky 10 ticket without reading it and received a congratulations message with “a whole lot of numbers.”The store was crowded, so he went outside to his pickup to verify the ticket on his app. It was a good thing he was sitting down since he was astounded to see how much he had won – $135,247!” read the announcement.
After taxes, lottery organizers estimate that the man will receive little more than $99,000.
