The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that all three “tomb raiders” had been detained in connection with thefts from cemetery niches in Florida and other states.

Angela Garrett, age 52, was detained in Indiana earlier this week. Drake Lee Milam, 33, and his girlfriend, Porsche Bancroft, 32, were both detained, the sheriff’s office stated on Wednesday.

The three are charged with various offenses, including damaging or removing monuments, disturbing grave contents, and committing grand theft over $20,000.

While these charges are a significant step toward justice, we understand that no arrest will cure the sorrow of having a loved one’s final resting place disrupted or cherished family items stolen for a quick buck,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Office stated.

Detectives are working to identify additional victims and understand the full scope of the crimes. If you have a loved one buried in a cemetery, we encourage you to visit their grave and ensure that any beloved things put with them are still present,” the OCSO stated.

According to authorities, the trio hails from Indianapolis but has visited cemeteries in Orange and Hillsborough counties, as well as the city of Winter Park.
