Toledo police detained five people on riot charges following a huge altercation on Sunday.
According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the Lagrange and Hudson neighborhood about 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23 to respond to a major altercation.
Officers discovered that individuals and cars had blocked the road, while a group of persons continued to fight.
TPD stated that they issued commands for people to disperse. When the throng refused to leave, authorities deployed pepper balls.
Police said that the following individuals were arrested on riot charges:
- Diamond Leiba, 23
- Ke’Naisha Merriweather, 28
- Natasha Merriweather, 26
- Danzai Wyatt, 25
- Deniya Hopkins, 22
The incident did not result in any injuries or property damage, according to authorities.
