The $2 million Powerball prize from the July 15 drawing was claimed by Seabiz Services LLC on Wednesday, August 19, at the Lottery’s Baton Rouge headquarters. The business received $1,460,000 after deducting state and federal taxes.

The ticket was purchased at South Lake Foods, commonly known as Sunny Times, in Violet.

The retailer received a $20,000 bonus, or 1% of the jackpot, for selling the ticket.

“Louisiana players win every day, and this is a good reminder that such victories can be meaningful. “We’re proud that Seabiz Services LLC will benefit from playing right here at home,” said Lottery President Rose Hudson.

The winning numbers for the July 15 drawing were 02-07-18-29-38, with a Powerball number of 16.

To preserve their claim, the Louisiana Lottery encourages all players to sign the back of their tickets as soon as they purchase them. Winning tickets from draw-style games must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing date.

To play Powerball, you must be at least 21 years old. Individuals with gambling problems, or those concerned about a friend or family member, are encouraged to contact the Louisiana Problem Gamblers Helpline at 1-877-770-7867. Assistance is discreet and available at all hours of the day and nite.
