A 17-year-old was hospitalized after being shot Saturday night in Madison, according to a news statement issued Sunday afternoon.
Madison Township Police Department investigators stated that the victim was involved in an altercation with “several individuals” near the intersection of Haywood Avenue and Lake View Avenue.
When police arrived at the site at 11:30 p.m., they discovered the man suffering from several gunshot wounds. According to authorities, others had already left the site.
First responders treated the wounded before transporting him to the University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center. According to authorities, the adolescent was subsequently airlifted to a Cleveland hospital and was last listed in stable condition.
The investigation is underway.
