New Orleans police found the parent of a young girl located wandering alone Saturday afternoon (Aug. 29) along North Claiborne Avenue.
Police said the child, a Black girl about four years old, was discovered at 12:30 p.m. on the 3900 block of North Claiborne Avenue in the St. Claude neighborhood.
The NOPD did not say whether the child identified herself, her parent, or guardian by name.
According to the department, the girl was transferred to the Fifth District station, and the Special Victims Division is now in charge of the investigation.
