Eight people were injured in a shooting at a house party in Taunton, Massachusetts, early Sunday morning.
One of the victims, Zirovick Depina, 22, of Brockton, Massachusetts, died on Sunday. Another victim is in serious but stable condition. The remaining victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
All the victims were in their early twenties.
Taunton police said they received several 911 calls around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday reporting guns fired and multiple individuals injured near Weir and Sumner streets.
Responding authorities determined that the incident occurred at a home on Weir Street near the intersection with Sumner Street, where they discovered many victims with gunshot wounds. They said that many people were sent to surrounding hospitals for treatment, and that other victims may have already left the site to seek medical attention on their own.
No additional information is available at this time. Taunton and state police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
