A man whose body was recovered from Summit Lake on Friday has been identified as 24-year-old Raheem Heard of Akron, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities say a fisherman noticed Heard’s body while fishing from a dock around 5:10 p.m. on Friday. Akron police and firefighters responded to a 911 call.
At 5:30 p.m., Heard was pronounced deceased after being rescued from the lake. The medical examiner’s office and the Akron Police Department are investigating his death.
Authorities have not announced the reason or method of death, nor have they provided any other details about Heard’s death.
