A Toledo woman was sentenced on Wednesday for a 2024 highway crash that took four people to the hospital, one of whom suffered life-threatening injuries.
On August 29, 2026, Veronica Daly pled no contest to two counts of aggravated vehicular assault and one count of operating under the influence. Two more counts of aggravated vehicular assault were dropped at her September 9 sentencing.
She was sentenced to four years’ imprisonment.
According to Toledo Police, Daly was traveling east on I-475 around 2 a.m. on November 27, 2024, when he failed to handle the bend, rolling over multiple times and ending up in I-75’s southbound lanes.
A 24-year-old lady sustained life-threatening injuries. All four individuals in the vehicle were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Daly was indicted more than a year later, on April 23, 2026.
