Central Florida Deputy Taken Into Custody Following Investigation

A Central Florida deputy was taken into custody following an investigation.

A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy was arrested for stalking.

Deputy Andrew Brown, 39, assigned to the Department of Patrol Services, was detained after detectives investigated accusations of misbehavior.

According to law authorities, Deputy Brown pulled over the victim and collected her phone number. Following the traffic stop, Brown continued to send the victim nasty messages despite being blocked.

Brown faced a single charge of stalking.

He was employed with HCSO for nine months. He was suspended without pay until the conclusion of the criminal and administrative investigations, according to HCSO.

“When someone puts on our uniform, they accept the duty to serve with integrity. Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister stated, “The badge is a symbol of trust, and this deputy betrayed that trust.” “That is a violation of everything HCSO stands for, and I am enraged. We will hold him accountable, just like anyone else who violates the law.”
