One person is dead, and another is fighting for life after a shooting in the town of Guadalupe early Sunday morning.
Just before 3 a.m., first responders were dispatched to a report of two shootings along Avenida Del Yaqui and Calle Mexico.
When deputies arrived, they saw two people lying in the road, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office. One died at the spot, while the other was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police said no suspects have been identified, and the investigation is still underway.
Drivers should avoid the area because one of the town’s main thoroughfares, Avenida del Yaqui, is closed in both directions due to the investigation.
