Suspicious death investigation underway after body discovered behind Portland area business

A suspicious death investigation is underway in Multnomah County following the discovery of a body behind a business in a Fairview shopping center.

At 9:20 a.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a 911 call near NE 227th Avenue and Halsey Street. When they arrived, deputies discovered a dead man, thought to be in his 40s or 50s.

Investigators closed the area to gather evidence and interview witnesses, but no details have been released to the public.
