Police: Suspect ID’d after woman and infant pushed from 15th-floor Bronx balcony

The NYPD has identified a suspect after a mother and child were allegedly pushed from the 15th-floor balcony of a Bronx apartment building Tuesday.

Angel Carrasco, 31, is wanted by the NYPD in connection with the killing of Nathaly Ramirez, a 23-year-old resident. Ramirez’s 8-month-old daughter suffered significant injuries in the fall but is currently stable. According to police sources, Carrasco is Ramirez’s former lover.

Police believe Carrasco is armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information should contact the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). You can also leave a tip through the Crime Stoppers website or via DM on X, @NYPDTips. All calls are kept secret.

The horrific incident occurred early Tuesday morning at 2550 Olinville Ave., where Ramirez lived.

Police say they received a call shortly before 3:40 a.m. The caller reported that two persons required assistance at the building, and responding officers discovered Ramirez and her daughter with injuries “consistent with a fall.”

Police went on to allege that further inquiry proved they had been pushed.

“One woman reported hearing screaming from a nearby apartment.” I was sleeping when I heard a lot of ruckus, including dogs barking and yelling, ‘Oh my God, please don’t do this. She said, “Look at my baby’s face. “It’s simply evil. “It’s devious,” neighbor Kayla Ravagnan remarked. “There’s no other; there’s no explanation.” “I have a 34-year-old daughter, and I can’t… [Ramirez] could’ve been my child,” neighbor Lisa Williams stated.

On Wednesday night, community people held a prayer vigil in front of the building, requesting better support for women experiencing domestic violence. Domestic violence survivor Anna Peralta stated, “I completely understand what it’s like to be threatened in this exact same way.” “You are suffering in an apartment between walls, and no one knows what you are going through. Unfortunately, nowadays, people do not take domestic abuse seriously.”
