Three Sent to Prison After Florida Keys Drug Bust Seizes Cash and Nearly a Kilo of Cocaine

In Monroe County, Florida, officers rounded up three suspects on Thursday after two distinct drug‑trafficking probes, the sheriff’s office reported.

On Oct. 8 in Key West, local, state and federal teams joined forces to serve a search warrant on the 3900 block of South Roosevelt Boulevard. The raid turned up a hefty stack of cash and 972 grams of cocaine,just under a kilogram.

After the sweep, detectives booked 32‑year‑old Jonathan Fidel Lopez and 33‑year‑old Sonora Ashley Tilman. Both face cocaine‑trafficking charges and accusations of illegally using a two‑way communications device, and federal prosecutors have also filed charges tied to the drugs and cash.

The Key West bust assembled detectives from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Key West Police Department, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and CBP Air and Marine Operations.

Meanwhile, in Marathon, 44‑year‑old Anthony Jermone Natta surrendered on Thursday after investigators linked his 41st Street residence to crack‑cocaine sales. He now confronts several drug counts, including cocaine trafficking and operating a nuisance property used to produce and distribute illegal substances.

All three individuals were booked into jail and remained behind bars through Friday.
