Caught On Camera: Florida Man Jailed After Throwing Dog with Skull Fracture into Dumpster

An 80‑year‑old man from Kissimmee landed in jail and on probation after he pleaded guilty to dumping his injured dog into a trash bin earlier this year.

Victor Manuel Carrion‑Flores entered guilty pleas on September 30, 2026, to a third‑degree felony for aggravated animal cruelty that caused excessive pain or death, and to a misdemeanor for abandoning an animal to die.

A judge handed Carrion‑Flores a 20‑day jail sentence plus 24 months of probation. The court barred him from owning or possessing any animals, required him to complete an eight‑hour animal‑cruelty prevention course, and placed him on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s animal‑cruelty registry. He also must pay restitution to Osceola County Animal Services and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

The case opened on March 7, 2026, when sheriff’s deputies discovered a 10‑year‑old Jack Russell mix named Max inside a dumpster at 1076 Cypress Parkway in Kissimmee. Max suffered a severe skull fracture, and veterinarians were forced to euthanize him because his injuries were too extensive.

Investigators examined surveillance footage from the scene and saw Carrion‑Flores tossing the dog into the dumpster. An autopsy later confirmed that Max had endured blunt‑force trauma.

Following a thorough investigation led by Osceola County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Stephanie King, authorities arrested Carrion‑Flores and formally charged him in connection with Max’s death.
