In Hillsborough County, Florida, a disturbance call at a home resulted in deputies confiscating dozens of pounds of narcotics and arresting a 36‑year‑old man on multiple criminal charges on Tuesday night.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a residence on River Run Drive in Tampa at about 8:40 p.m. on October 6, 2026, after a concerned caller reported hearing an argument inside.
When officers arrived, they spoke with Jamell Peeler, 36, who invited them into his house. Inside, deputies immediately saw a large quantity of marijuana in plain sight.
As the deputies moved to detain Peeler, he bolted on foot, knocking one officer to the ground in the process. Additional officers gave chase and apprehended him a short distance away.
Investigators then obtained a search warrant for the property. A thorough sweep of the home uncovered more than 57 pounds of marijuana, MDMA pills, and various drug‑related paraphernalia.
Following the investigation, the sheriff’s office confirmed that Peeler was arrested and now faces over a dozen charges related to the incident.
