One last spot reveals $1 Million Ohio Lottery prize

A wonderful reminder to double-check your lotto tickets!

A Delaware woman won $1 million on an Ohio Lottery scratch-off, but she initially believed she had lost.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the woman was sitting on the couch with her husband and playing the Millionaire Blowout Scratch-Off.

She believed the ticket was a loser as none of the numbers matched.

Then she reached the last place and announced an automatic $1 million prize.

She was dumbfounded at first and kept thinking, “This can’t be real!” as she told the lottery. She eventually shouted, “Oh my gosh,” and handed her husband the phone.

The pair sat together, looking at the reward money. After the shock wore off, they called her in-laws to break the news.

The winner had the option of collecting $40,000 each year for 25 years or accepting a lump-sum cash award of $500,000. She selected the cash option.

According to the lottery, she will receive $366,625, after paying 26.75% in obligatory state and federal taxes.

The pair intends to utilize the funds to pay off their property and expenses before investing the remainder.

The winner also wishes to accompany her in-laws to Las Vegas for a family vacation.

The winning ticket was sold at Reynoldsburg’s aptly titled Winners Corner.

As of Wednesday, October, the Millionaire Blowout game had 50 top prizes remaining.
