Both incidents, which occurred on Wednesday, are under investigation by Oregon State Police.

Motorcyclist Killed in Crash Near The Dalles

The first crash took place just before noon on Interstate 84 near The Dalles.

Police said a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, ridden by 38-year-old Ryan Christopher King of Washington, collided with a stationary truck operated by the Oregon Department of Transportation.

The truck had been positioned as a safety buffer while road maintenance work was underway.

King died at the scene. No other injuries were reported.

Less than 12 hours later, a second fatal crash occurred on U.S. 95 in Malheur County.

Authorities said a Honda Accord traveling southbound crossed into the opposite lane and struck a Dodge Ram head-on.

  • The Honda driver, 27-year-old Rohit Ror, died at the scene
  • The Dodge Ram driver, 74-year-old Albert Diederich, also died despite rescue efforts by a bystander

Investigations Ongoing

Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding both crashes, including what may have caused the vehicles to collide.
