We have spoken to the Editor-in-Chief and attempted to speak to the individual doing this to us but with no avail. THURSDAY – Body Positive Paint Party
Sip ‘N’ Paint with Lola Buckwald this Thursday, April 27th at WildCraft Cider Works from 6 PM – 10 PM. This Body Positive Paint Party entails a guided abstract painting session in honor of the human body. Tickets are presale only and include food, drinks, art supplies, and your choice from a variety of body types and poses to receive step by step instructions on from Lola.
FRIDAY – Building Toward the Future
Building Toward the Future is happening at the Lane Events Center this Friday, April 28th. This 70’s themed night is in support of Sponsors who provide transformative wrap-around supportive services for people reentering our community after being incarcerated. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Sponsors, this event features performances from local favorites, Sweet Life Patisserie‘s Dessert Dash, 70’s Trivia with Hop Valley, the Swagon Wagon photobooth, and more!
SATURDAY – Spring Plant Sale
This Saturday, April 29th, the Lane County Master Gardener Association Spring plant sale and silent auction is happening at the Lane Events Center from 10 AM – 3 PM. It’s recommended you bring a wagon/cart and boxes to make shopping for vegetables, herbs, hanging baskets for Mother’s Day, many different flowers, houseplants, and more, a lot easier. Admission is free!
SATURDAY – Queer Prom at Spectrum
Lyta Blunt is hosting Queer Prom night this Saturday, April 29th at Spectrum. Starting at 9 PM enjoy dancing, a photobooth, Drag Pop-Ups, Prom court performances and a crowning ceremony. Prom Portraits by Destiny Brock will also be available!
SATURDAY-SUNDAY – Eugene Marathon
The Eugene Marathon is happening this weekend. On Saturday there will be a Kids Dash and a 5K, followed by a 5K award ceremony. On Sunday, a marathon, half marathon, ceremonies for both, and the Finish Festival right after! The Finish Festival will feature food, drinks, merchandise, and a community-driven celebration.
Isabelle Maggard is a Marketing Agent at Highlite. She currently is studying digital marketing at Lane Community College. Isabelle focuses on social media engagement and outreach for account growth. She also contributes a weekly article focusing on upcoming weekend events in Eugene.
