A 13-year-old girl who was initially reported as kidnapped was actually involved in a plan to steal her family’s car, according to the Gresham Police Department.
Police said a relative called authorities Sunday to report that a vehicle had been stolen from a trampoline park in Gresham with the teen inside. Believing she had been taken against her will, the relative reported a possible kidnapping.
However, investigators later determined the girl had allegedly plotted with three others to take the car.

Officers from Gresham and Portland Police Bureau, along with deputies from the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office, tracked the vehicle and requested air support.
The pursuit ended on Interstate 84 when officers deployed spike strips and boxed in the vehicle to bring it to a stop, police said.
Arrests Made
Authorities arrested an adult man, two juvenile males and the 13-year-old girl. Police have not yet specified what charges the suspects may face.
The investigation is ongoing.
