Authorities in Portland are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl late last year.
Incident Details
According to the Portland police Bureau, the suspect reportedly picked up the teen near the 4000 block of Southeast 82nd Avenue in November. He then drove her to the East Columbia area, where the assault allegedly occurred.
Police said the victim managed to escape and seek help following the incident.
Suspect Description Released
Investigators describe the suspect as a white man in his mid-30s, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall. He is believed to have long red and brown hair, a noticeable bald spot on the top of his head, and a medium-length beard.
Vehicle Information
Authorities say the suspect may be driving an older-model silver van. The vehicle is described as having a cracked windshield, a cluttered interior, and a pink-and-black infant seat carrier inside.
Public Urged to Come Forward
Police are encouraging anyone who may recognize the suspect or vehicle to contact investigators with any information that could help identify him.
