A 67-year-old man lost his life in an early morning house fire at a duplex in Forest Grove, officials confirmed.
Fire Breaks Out Overnight
According to Forest Grove Fire & Rescue, crews responded to the blaze around 12:25 a.m. Saturday on 12th Avenue.
Firefighters arrived to find flames pouring from a front window of the residence. Crews immediately began attacking the fire from outside before entering the building.
Victim Found Inside
During the search, firefighters discovered an unconscious man inside the duplex. He was quickly carried out as crews continued working to control the fire.
Despite rescue efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
No Smoke Alarms Detected
Officials revealed a critical safety concern:
